Authors are invited to submit a structured abstract for a Full Paper, Short Paper, or a Work-in-Progress (WIP) Paper, reporting original research of a theoretical or applied nature, via the online submission system, EDAS. Papers in all areas of engineering education are invited, with particular emphasis on the main focus of the conference “Human-centered Engineering Education: Empowering Sustainable Innovation and Ethical Leadership through AI and Digital Transformation”

Abstract Submissions must use the provided EDUCON 2026 Structured Abstract Template and authors should plan to closely follow all instructions and guidelines outlined below.

The deadline clock shown above reflects EST. While our submission system follows Anywhere on Earth as the time zone, we strongly recommend you plan appropriately to submit your paper by 11:59 PM in your home time zone to avoid possibly missing the deadline.

INITIAL SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

REGISTERING YOUR SUBMISSION

All paper submissions must be submitted as a Structured Abstract via EDAS. If you do not have an EDAS account, please go to "CREATE AUTHOR ACCOUNT" instructions below.

To initiate your submission, please visit the IEEE EDUCON 2026 Submission Site and follow these steps:

  • Select the appropriate track for your submission (Full Paper, Short Paper, WIP).
  • Type in the title of your paper and any keywords.
  • Where prompted, type a brief description of your paper, as you would like for it to appear on the Conference Website. Please note this should more closely resemble a traditional abstract and should NOT be the same as your Structured Abstract
  • Select (1) topic. You may only select 1.
  • Click "Register Paper". On the next page you will see a large green check mark and a statement that the paper was recorded.
  • At this time, you should also add all authors to the EDAS submission by clicking the small + symbol below your name. Adding authors to your EDAS metadata is required and will NOT impact the double-anonymous review process.

UPLOADING ABSTRACT FILE

  • Verify all authors have been added to your submission.
  • Prepare your Structured Abstract file using the provided template
    • Complete the template with all elements
    • Save your file as a PDF in preparation for uploading
  • Upload your Structured Abstract PDF before the Abstract Submission Deadline. Use the cloud-shaped upload button under “Structured Abstract” as shown below:

  • You can easily navigate back to your submission page at any time to make modifications by clicking My... > My Papers at the top of the screen, then clicking your selected paper title.

CREATE AUTHOR ACCOUNT

Each author must visit the EDAS web site and establish an account with a username and password.

  • Visit www.edas.info and click the New User button.
  • Create your profile. Only the five fields with the red asterisk are required. *It is very important that your name and affiliation associated with your EDAS account are correct and match the name and affiliation that will be listed on your paper. These fields are first & last name, affiliation (company or organization), country, e-mail address, and status. When the fields are filled in, check the Privacy Policies box and click the Add Person button. [note: if you select USA as the country, you will get a message asking for your state]
  • You will receive an e-mail containing your password. Your email address and the given password must later be used to access the system during the following steps, so be careful to remember it.
  • You can then return to the EDAS log-in page (www.edas.info) and change your assigned password to one that is easier to remember. To do this, click on the My Profile tab, and then click on change your password. Be sure to record your user name, password and ID number for later reference.
